UNDER Looks Good As Georgia Hosts Red-Hot Arkansas

The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs (4-0 SU, 3-1 ATS) are 8-0 SU and 5-3 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Bulldogs will look to remain undefeated with a win over the surprising No. 8 Arkansas Razorbacks (4-0, 4-0) on Saturday afternoon.

Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The Bulldogs opened as 19.5-point favorites at home, but bettors quickly jumped on the Razorbacks at that price to push the line down to Georgia -18. The total in this SEC East matchup has remained steady at 48.5 points. Arkansas is 4-2 ATS in its last six games against Georgia.

Arkansas News & Notes

Arkansas set the tone that this season might be different with its 40-21 win as a 6-point underdog against the Texas Longhorns in Week 2. Now the Razorbacks have left no doubt after pulling off an impressive 20-10 upset over the Texas A&M Aggies as 4.5-point home underdogs. The Razorbacks threw the ball only 19 times in the win, rushing 49 times for 197 yards en route to victory.

This group is clearly going to be tough to beat in Fayetteville this season after a 4-0 SU and ATS start, but can the Razorbacks play to the same level on the road? Arkansas enters Saturday with a 1-13 SU and 5-9 ATS record in its last 14 games played away from home.

Georgia News & Notes

Georgia was relentless on defense all game long in its 62-0 road win over the Vanderbilt Commodores as a 36-point favorite last Saturday. The Bulldogs held Vanderbilt to only 77 total yards and forced three turnovers in the blowout win. Through its 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS start to the 2021 campaign, Georgia has the best defense in the nation, allowing only 181.8 yards and 5.8 points per game.

The Bulldogs have also looked great on offense over their last three games after scoring only 10 points (including an interception returned for a touchdown) in their season opener against Clemson. Georgia has averaged 52.7 points in those three contests and has two quarterbacks in JT Daniels and Stetson Bennett who look comfortable leading this offense.

Staff Betting Pick: UNDER 48.5 points

Arkansas’ commitment to the run and Georgia’s stout defense should result in some long Razorbacks drives that end up scoreless or with only a field goal. A Georgia blowout wouldn’t surprise us, but we’ve seen enough from Arkansas’ defense to think they can do enough to keep this one UNDER the posted total.
