Auburn Snapped ATS Losing Streak With Cover Against LSU

The Tigers appeared to be on their way to an upset win over the LSU Tigers last Saturday at home, Sportsbook up a 17-0 lead over their conference rivals. Instead, Auburn went on to give up 21 unanswered points and lose the game 21-17, falling to 3-2 SU on the season. Despite losing the game outright, the Tigers did snap an 0-5 ATS losing streak by covering the spread as an 8-point underdog.

Robby Ashford completed 19 of his 38 pass attempts for 337 passing yards and two touchdown passes with one interception in the loss. Ashford was starting in place of injured quarterback T.J. Finley, who has been ineffective this year, averaging only 143.7 passing yards per game with one touchdown pass and four interceptions. Finley is currently listed as questionable to return this weekend.

Georgia Survived A Surprising Upset Scare On Saturday

The Bulldogs were supposed to have an easy assignment on Saturday as 30.5-point favorites on the road against the Missouri Tigers. But what many expected to be a blowout win proved to be a tough road test as the Bulldogs trailed 16-6 at the half and didn’t take their first lead of the game until they scored a touchdown with just over four minutes left in the fourth quarter. Georgia moved to 5-0 SU with a 26-22 victory but fell to 1-3 ATS over its last four games with the close call.

Stetson Bennett went 24-for-43 for 312 passing yards with no touchdown passes or interceptions on Saturday. After allowing only 10 total points through the first three games of the season, including an impressive 49-3 blowout win over the Oregon Ducks, the Bulldogs have now surrendered 22 points in each of their last two games.

Auburn: Keys To Victory

Auburn’s defense got lit up for 41 points in a 41-12 loss to Penn State but has otherwise been solid this season, allowing 16.75 points per game in its other four contests. The Tigers won’t likely be able to do much on offense in this spot, so keeping Georgia’s high-powered attack at least somewhat in check will be key to success as an Auburn vs Georgia prediction.

Georgia: Keys To Victory

The Bulldogs haven’t been at their best on defense against a pair of weak opponents in Kent State and Missouri. Georgia shouldn’t have any trouble winning this game at home on Saturday, but to cover this large spread as an Auburn vs Georgia pick, the defense will likely need to get back on track.
