Baylor Bears Jarrett Stidham

Life Without Russell Begins for Baylor

Baylor’s offense has been damn near unstoppable this season with Seth Russell at the helm, but a season-ending neck injury has thrust true freshman Jarrett Stidham into the starting role. Baylor, who has faced an average closing spread of -34.9 this season, will start their life without Russell this Thursday when they host Kansas State.

Shark Bites
  • The home team is 7-1 SU in the last eight game between these teams.
  • The total has gone OVER in six of Baylor’s past eight games.
  • Kansas State has scored just one touchdown in the past two games.

Stidham has appeared in every game this season for Baylor, but it was always in garbage time when the Bears have run up their lead to ridiculous margins. However, Baylor is more about the system than the quarterback and with a wealth of offensive weapons and a great offensive line, Baylor’s coaching staff is not expecting much of a change.

Kansas State can empathize with injuries with the team losing their starting quarterback and two members of the secondary this season. The Wildcats have not won a game since Sportsbook the season 3-0.
