TCU and West Virginia give the Big 12 a new look in 2012 but the Big 12 odds menu looks pretty much the same as years past - with Oklahoma Sooners at the top.

To help bettors in that endeavor here's a quick look at the upcoming season in the Big 12, which has undergone some serious changes in recent seasons, and 5Dimes conference championship prices.

Oklahoma is an even-money favorite (+100) at 5Dimes to win the Big 12 this season. The Sooners, a year after falling three losses short of their national championship expectations, return 17 starters this season, including QB Landry Jones, four on the O-line and seven on defense.

Schedule-wise OU gets Kansas State and Oklahoma State at home, but they have to play at the two newcomers to the league, West Virginia and TCU.

Those two new league members, the Mountaineers and Horned Frogs, are co-second favorites at 5Dimes to win the Big 12 championship this season at +400 at 5Dimes.

West Virginia has 14 starters back from a team that tied for first place in the Big East last year, while TCU has 15 returning starters from a team that won the Mountain West.

But while WVU gets K State, TCU and Oklahoma all at home, the Frogs have to play at OK State, Morgantown and Texas.

Those Longhorns are the fourth pick on the Big 12 board at +425. UT has 16 starters back, including nine on offense, as it looks to rebound from going 4-5 in the conference last year.

And Kansas State, led by the great Coach Snyder and with 14 returning starters from a team that finished a surprising second in the conference last year, is lined at +800 to take the Big 12 crown this season.

Rounding out the field on 5Dimes' Big 12 championship board defending conference champion Oklahoma State, after losing several key skills players, is getting +1600.

Baylor, after losing Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Robert Griffin III, is listed at +1800; Texas Tech, in its third season under Coach Tuberville, is getting +2500; Iowa State is lined at +5500; and Kansas, which went winless in the conference last year, is listed at +12500 to win the Big 12 title this season.

Oklahoma is notorious for winning the Big 12 and 5Dimes is notorious for posting the best early college football odds.
