Sportsbook Odds Analysis

The Tigers opened as 11-point road favorites but have been bet down a point to Clemson -10. The total has remained steady for this matchup since Sportsbook at 47 points. The UNDER is 4-1 in NC State’s last five games.

Clemson News & Notes

Clemson was a 27.5-point favorite at home against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets last Saturday. But instead of enjoying a nice easy blowout win at home, the Tigers were forced to make a goal-line stand in the closing moments of the game and to recover a fumble in their own end zone to avoid disaster in a 14-8 nail-biter.

D.J. Uiagalelei looked great in relief of Trevor Lawrence last season and entered this season as a Heisman Trophy front-runner. For whatever reason, things haven’t clicked for Uiagalelei this year as the sophomore has only 475 passing yards, one passing touchdown and two interceptions through Clemson’s first three games.

The Tigers still possess a championship-caliber defense, but the offense is going to have to play a lot better if Clemson hopes to survive the rest of its schedule without another loss.

NC State News & Notes

Devin Leary went 23-for-29 with 259 passing yards and three passing touchdowns in NC State’s 45-7 win over the Furman Paladins on Saturday. The Wolfpack have a pair of blowout wins this season, including their season-Sportsbook 45-0 victory over the South Florida Bulls, to go along with a 24-10 loss as small favorites at home against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Dating back to last season, the Wolfpack are now 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS over their last seven games. North Carolina State has been blown out 55-10 and 41-7 in its last two games against the Tigers since losing its previous two matchups against Clemson by just a touchdown each. Clemson’s struggles on offense this season could help the Wolfpack keep Saturday’s game more competitive.

Staff Betting Pick: UNDER 47 points

The Tigers have allowed only 21 total points this season, and seven of those came on an interception returned for a touchdown. Clemson’s elite defense and struggling offense make the UNDER look like an enticing wager in this one.
