College Football Betting: Line Moves

We’re just seven weeks away from kickoff of the college football season, and Week 1 lines are already on the move.
Have these lines settled for good or is more shuffling on the way?
Let's take a look at three of the biggest line movements on the board over at 5Dimes, which posted lines on a handful of Week 1 games in late April (5Dimes has since posted lines on all of Week 1's games).

North Carolina at South Carolina (-10.5), Aug. 29

The Gamecocks opened as big 14.5-point favorites, but were sitting at -10.5 as of Wednesday. The movement looks bigger than it actually is, because it only crosses one key betting number (14).
South Carolina is 7-1 ATS in its last eight September games.
Alabama (-18.5) vs. Virginia Tech, Aug. 31
The Crimson Tide opened as 22-point favorites, but the line has shrunk down to -18.5 at 5Dimes. This is the 42nd second straight game Alabama has been favored in. Alabama is 14-6 ATS in its last 20 games in September.
Florida State (-12.5) at Pittsburgh, Sept. 2
This line popped up shortly after opening with the Seminoles favored by 8.5 points. It’s hard to tell whether it's anti-Panthers sentiment or move love for FSU, which will be quarterbacked by electric redshirt freshman Jameis Winston.
Pittsburgh enters its first season in the ACC with only five returning starters on offense and question marks about its quarterback situation. The Panthers have covered in six of their last eight games as home underdogs.
