College Football Betting: Week 7

All eyes on college football will be focused on Thursday's late clash of the three-game slate, as the Southern Cal Trojans take the field for the first time since the firing of Lane Kiffin against the speedy Arizona Wildcats. At 5Dimes, the Trojans (3-2, 0-2 Pac-12) are laying -5.5 to Arizona (3-1, 0-1).

USC, which is in off a bye week, was blown out by Arizona State two weeks ago. Meanwhile, the Wildcats arrive in L.A. after their second bye in three weeks, a stretch that has put them on the field just once - a 31-13 loss at Washington - in 25 days before Thursday’s kickoff. Southern Cal leads the series 28-8, but the road team has won four of the last seven meetings. Arizona is on a 7-1 ATS streak in this Pac 12 showdown.

On Saturday, No. 12 Oklahoma (5-0, 2-0 Big 12) is laying -14 versus Texas (3-2, 2-0), at Dallas in the Cotton Bowl. The Sooners have won three straight both straight-up and against the number in the 108th edition of the Red River Rivalry, which happens to be an early battle for first place. Quarterback Case McCoy will start for the Longhorns in place of David Ash, who has missed all or part of Texas' previous four games due to concussion-like symptoms. The Sooners have covered four of five on a neutral field, while the 'Horns have dropped five straight at the window in October.

After getting hammered at Miami last Saturday 45-30, Georgia Tech steps out of conference and heads into the high-altitude of Provo, Utah to play independent BYU. The Cougars, who are in on ATS win streaks of 4-1 against winning teams and 6-2 in October, are laying -7 to their guests.

Other intriguing lines include LSU (5-1, 2-1 SEC) laying -7 at home to Florida (4-1, 3-0); Michigan (4-0) is -3 in its Big Ten lid-lifter at Penn State (3-2, 0-1); in an unusual twist, UNLV (3-2, 1-0 MWC) is laying -10 at home in conference action against Hawaii (0-5, 0-3); and with the lopsided line of the week, Auburn (4-1, 2-1 SEC) is -43.5 at home against non-conference foe Western Carolina (1-5, 0-3 Southern).
