No team has an easier path through conference play than the Louisville Cardinals.
According to odds released Tuesday, Charlie Strong’s Cardinals are far superior to any other team in the new American Athletic Conference, a combination of leftover Big East teams and Conference USA upstarts.
Louisville is listed as a -175 (4/7) favorite to win the first AAC championship at Sportsbook. Strong's team enters the season with massive momentum and a Heisman candidate at quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater.
Bridgewater led Louisiville to a decisve upset of SEC-power Florida in the Sugar Bowl and face a schedule that a lot of pundits believe is tailored for an undefeated season.
The Cardinals and Ohio State Buckeyes - 5/6 to win the Big Ten - are the only teams to be outright favorites in their conferences.
Two-time defending champion Alabama is even money to win the SEC; Oregon is a 7/4 favorite to win the Pac-12, and Oklahoma State and Texas are co-favorites at 5/2 to win the Big 12 in the BCS conferences.
