College Football Week 12 Saturday Notes

Ten of the 25 teams in the updated College Football Playoff Rankings have one loss or less heading into Week 12 of the season, and eight of them will be in action on Saturday as we take a look at the day's notes on the gridiron.

And two of those eight teams face each other as No. 1 Mississippi State (9-0) plays on the road against No. 5 Alabama (8-1) - with the Crimson Tide the 9.5-point favorites on the college football betting lines.

Matchup Reports: Miss State vs. Alabama | Nebraska vs. Wisconsin | Virginia Tech vs. Duke

No. 2 Oregon (9-1) is off this week, with No. 3 Florida State (9-0) looking to get back into that second slot with a win over Miami as a 2.5-point road favorite. No. 4 TCU (8-1) is then a huge 28-point road favorite against Kansas for Saturday.

No. 6 Arizona State (8-1) is a 7.5-point road favorite against Oregon State, with No. 7 Baylor (8-1)  on a bye, and No. 8 Ohio State (8-1) listed as a 13.5-point road favorite for their matinee against No. 25 Minnesota.

The other two teams in the Top 25 of the updated College Football Playoff Rankings with just one loss are then No. 16 Nebraska (8-1) and No. 21 Duke (8-1). The Cornhuskers have a tough road matchup as 6.5-point underdogs against No. 20 Wisconsin on Saturday, while the Blue Devils are 4-point home favorites against Virginia Tech.
