Florida State survived a huge scare with Jameis Winston not on the field in Week 4, needing overtime to defeat Clemson SU but falling to 0-3 ATS on the season for their supporters on the college football betting odds in the process.
The Seminoles were 16.5-point favorites against the Tigers even with Winston out for the entire game for disciplinary reasons, but needed overtime to defeat the Tigers 23-17. Florida State backup quarterback Sean Maguire went 21 of 39 for 305 yards passing with one TD strike and two interceptions in that nail biter.

Clemson was one of four ranked teams to lose SU in Week 4, with Missouri also falling 31-27 to Indiana as a 13.5-point favorite, and LSU getting beat 34-29 by Mississippi State as a 9.5-point favorite. As well, Kansas State lost 20-14 to another ranked team, Auburn, as 9-point underdogs to kick off Week 4 of the season back on Thursday night.
Michigan State covered a 45-point spread in a 73-14 win over Eastern Michigan, and Georgia had no trouble with a 41-point spread in a 66-0 win over Troy. Texas A&M continued to roll with a 58-6 blasting of SMU as a 33.5-point favorite, while Alabama got past Florida 42-21 as a 14.5-point favorite.
Oregon won SU against Washington State, but they were an ATS disappointment in that 38-31 victory as a 24.5-point favorite. Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 21 of his 25 pass attempts for 329 yards with five touchdown strikes in that game as he looks to strengthen his case for the Heisman Trophy.
