The USC Trojans are 11-0 straight up and 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games against the California Bears. The Trojans can extend that winning streak to 12 games this Saturday afternoon in Berkeley.
USC is a 6-point road favorite this Saturday according to online sportsbook Sportsbook. The Trojans have played well under interim coach Clay Helton, playing a tough road game against Notre Dame two weeks ago and dominating Utah 42-24 at home last week.
Cal has been slipping back down to earth of late with two straight losses, and I see those struggles continuing this week with the Trojans picking up a win and cover.
UNDERDOG COUGARS ats PICK VS STANFORD
Staying in the Pac-12, I like the Washington State Cougars as an 11-point underdog this week at home against Stanford. Stanford has been rock-solid with a 6-0 SU and ATS record over its last six games, but the Cougars have been really good this season too posting a 5-2 SU and ATS record.
The Cougars play even better as an underdog going 4-0 ATS this season with three outright upsets. Not sure they'll get the outright upset this week, but they should keep it close in front of an excited home crowd.
The Houston Cougars are 7-0 SU and 5-2 ATS this season, winning their games by an average margin of victory of 27.9 points per game. Houston is a 12-point favorite this Saturday hosting Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt's excellent defense will slow down Houston's attack, but that may not matter much with an offense averaging only 18 points per game. Eventually, Houston's offense will pull away and cover this spread.
KANSAS TO COVER BIG SPREAD VS OKLAHOMA
Going on a hunch and taking the Kansas Jayhawks +40 at home against Oklahoma. Oklahoma should try to get its starters out of this game as quickly as possible to keep the team healthy for an important stretch run in November, giving the Jayhawks a shot at a cover as the huge home underdog.
Lastly, take UTSA -8.5 at North Texas. UT San Antonio's running game should run all over North Texas, which is allowing 254.9 yards per game against this season.
