College Football Week 9 Line Moves

Texas Tech’s outright win as a 29-point underdog on the road over Oklahoma last week served as a reminder that on any given Saturday, anything can happen. Bettors and bookmakers alike will likely have that in mind when they handicap this week’s games.

Here’s a look at the four games with the biggest line movements in Week 9.

Arizona @ Washington (from -8.0 to -4.0 at 5Dimes)

Despite the fact that Washington is 5-2 SU and ATS this season, bettors were quick to jump on Arizona with the points after last week’s results. Arizona beat UCLA 48-12 at home while Washington got embarrassed in a 65-21 loss on the road to Stanford.  Arizona is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games against Washington.

Wyoming @ San Diego State (from -14.5 to -18.0 at BetOnline)

Both Wyoming and San Diego State are 4-2 SU and 3-3 ATS this season, and the last eight games between these two teams have been split 4-4 SU. But despite the similarities between these two programs, bettors have made this game one of the biggest line movements of the week with plenty of action coming in on San Diego State.

Mississippi @ Auburn (from -9.5 to -12.5 at Bovada)

Mississippi covered as a 16-point underdog in a 29-24 loss to Arkansas while Auburn looked hopeless in a 45-10 loss to LSU, but that hasn’t prevented bettors from believing in Auburn as a big favorite at home. Auburn does have the better record at 5-3 SU to Mississippi’s 2-5, and holds an 8-2 SU and 6-4 ATS edge over their last 10 games.

Missouri @ Texas A&M (from -12.5 to -10.0 at TopBet)

Texas A&M has won three straight games and Missouri is just 1-6 SU in their last seven games on the road, but early bettors jumped on the points to take Missouri. Missouri is better than their 3-4 record would indicate as their losses have all come to ranked teams. The Tigers have won four of their last five games SU against Texas A&M, and the Aggies are just 2-5 ATS despite their 5-2 SU record.
