Huge total in Oregon vs Cal game

No. 2 Oregon, regularly a huge favorite on the weekly NCAAF betting board, carries a big number once again into its game Saturday night at home against the 1-2 Cal Bears (10:30 pm ET, Pac-12 Network).

 

In the early betting the Ducks, who have scored 66, 59 and 59 points in winning their first three games, were favored by 36 points over Cal, which has allowed 126 points through its first three games.

The Golden Bears will look to vanquish their hosts on Saturday, as they are 0-3 ATS versus the spread this season, while the Ducks are 3-0 ATS. California is 3-0 against the total, while Oregon is 3-0 versus the number.

Oddsmakers at Sportsbook opened the Ducks as -33-point Favorite in the matchup, while the betting total was expected to be one of the biggest in recent years (check the college football odds link for the latest on the over under).

The Ducks sit at No. 1 in the current NCAAF Power Rankings here at OddsShark, while the Golden Bears are at No. 95 on that chart. Math models have concluded that the Ducks will win this game 82-26.



California lost its last outing, a 52-34 result against Ohio State on September 14. California failed to cover in that game as a 12.5-point underdog, while the 86 combined points took the game OVER the total.
