Game Preview - Beavers underdogs vs Sun Devils at Arizona State

The Arizona State Sun Devils haven't played in the Rose Bowl since 1997, but they lead the Pac-12's South Division and are just a couple victories away from playing in the conference championship game.

This week ASU will try to get one step closer to a division title when it hosts the Oregon State Beavers Saturday night in Tempe (9:30 pm ET, Pac-12 Network).

At 5-1 in conference play the Devils lead the South by a game over UCLA and USC. Arizona State had also hit the 50-point mark three games in a row, but had to rally to beat Utah Saturday 20-19.

Oregon State, meanwhile, after winning six games in a row, has lost its last two. But it's also won four of the last five games in this series.

In the early wagering the Sun Devils were favored by 14 points over the Beavers.

Oregon State lost its last outing, a 31-14 result against Southern Cal on November 1. Oregon State failed to cover in that game as a 4.5-point favorite, while the 45 combined points took the game UNDER the total. Marion Grice ran through the Utah defense for 136 yards in Arizona State's last game, handing the Utes a 20-19 setback on Saturday at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
