LSU Tigers vs Oregon Ducks in NCAA odds

It's the biggest game of the year, conveniently wrapped into the Week 1 schedule and plugged into a neutral site at Cowboys Stadium on Saturday.

Oregon played in the national title game last year and have designs on returning, but they need to start quickly as the No. 3 rated school. They face LSU, the No. 4 ranked team which also is pointed at the BCS game.

The Tigers, who face a tough SEC schedule in addition to this game, will play without suspended QB Jordan Jefferson and backup QB Jarrett Lee will run the controls. They'll face Heisman Trophy candidate LaMichael James bursting out of the Oregon backfield.

The neutral site possibly favors LSU, which some Tiger fans making the trip to Dallas. It will feel like a road game to the Ducks and they have won 15 of 19 road games dating back three seasons.

But wager against LSU at your peril. The Tigers have won 17 straight September games.
