Ole Miss vs Miss State Odds Preview

The Rebels of Ole Miss are headed to a bowl but it would be nice if they could post a .500 record in the SEC.

They get their chance Thanksgiving night when they hit Starkville for the annual Egg Bowl battle with the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

The Rebs had won four games in a row, but lost at home to Missouri Saturday 24-10.

On the other side of this Magnolia State match-up, Mississippi State had lost three games in a row, but snapped that streak with an overtime victory at Arkansas Saturday. So the 5-6 Bulldogs can become bowl-eligible if they win Thursday night.

As of early this week Ole Miss, which broke a three-game losing streak in this rivalry with a 41-24 Egg Bowl victory last year, was favored by seven points over MSU at Sportsbook.

The Bulldogs sport a record of 5-6 and 6-5 ATS heading into this matchup, while the Rebels sit at 7-4 and 6-5 ATS on the season. The over under records are 4-7 for the Bulldogs and 6-5 for the Rebels.
