Oklahoma Suffered A Major Setback With Loss To Kansas State

The Sooners got off to a great start to the season with a 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS record, averaging 42.3 points per game while allowing only 10 points per game. Oklahoma seemed to have plenty of momentum heading into Saturday’s home game against the Kansas State Wildcats, but instead of rolling to another win as 13.5-point favorites, the Sooners suffered a 41-34 upset loss.

Dillon Gabriel played well in the loss, going 26-for-39 with 330 passing yards, four touchdown passes and no interceptions. Gabriel has 1,089 passing yards and an 11-to-0 touchdown-to-interception ratio through Oklahoma’s first four games after transferring from the UCF Knights last offseason.

The offense should be confident heading into this TCU game, but all eyes will be on the defense after last weekend’s meltdown at home.

TCU Off To A Hot Start In 2022

The Horned Frogs wrapped up a disappointing 2021 season with a 3-7 SU and 2-8 ATS record over their last 10 games. It has been a different story so far this year as TCU has surged out of the gate with a perfect 3-0 SU and ATS record.

TCU’s offense is leading the way with an impressive 46.3 points per game. The team is coming off a 42-34 road win over the SMU Mustangs as a 2.5-point favorite last week.

Max Duggan took over the starting quarterback job late in Week 1 when Chandler Morris left the game with an injury. Duggan has thrived in the role over the last two weeks, completing 77.6 percent of his passes for 668 yards and eight touchdowns with no interceptions. The senior will face his toughest test of the season at home against the Sooners on Saturday.

Oklahoma: Keys To Win

Dillon Gabriel has been playing great at quarterback and the Sooners have also run the ball well through their first four games. It’s safe to assume the offense will keep rolling in this matchup, so it will be up to the defense to be a lot better than it was against Kansas State for the Sooners to cash in as an Oklahoma vs TCU prediction.

TCU: Keys To Win

Max Duggan went 20-for-30 with 346 passing yards, four scoring strikes and no interceptions against the Oklahoma Sooners last season. If Duggan has another big game against Oklahoma this Saturday, he could give TCU a shot at pulling off the upset as an Oklahoma vs TCU pick at home.
