Week 6 of the college football season is loaded with some key season-defining games. Three games this week are between two ranked opponents.
Something always seems to be on the line when No. 3 Oklahoma takes on No. 11 Texas in the Red River Rivalry, and this season certainly won’t be an exception. Both teams are 4-0 heading into this one, and Oklahoma (a 9-point favorite at Sportsbook) will likely need this win to keep their BCS Championship hopes alive. Oklahoma has held the slight edge in this series over the last 10 seasons with a 6-4 SU and 5-4-1 ATS record.
No. 15 Auburn is coming off of a huge road win over South Carolina last week as a 10.5-point favorite, and will look to repeat their road success this week against No. 10 Arkansas. Arkansas is a 10-point favorite at Sportsbook. This SEC West rivalry has been dead even over the last 10 years, with each team going 5-5 SU and ATS.
The other matchup between two ranked teams is between No. 17 Florida and No. 1 LSU. These two teams are 5-5 SU against each other over their last 10 meetings too. Florida took a huge loss against Alabama last Saturday, but they’ll need to put it behind them in a hurry and bring their best this week to have a chance at making a game of it at LSU. Check Sportsbook later in the day for the line on this big SEC matchup.
Another key conference game Saturday is No.22 Arizona State visiting Utah in their first meeting as Pac-12 rivals. The Sportsbook of this game has a very good chance of winning the Pac-12 South. Arizona State is a 3-point road underdog at Sportsbook. Neither team has fared well ATS so far this season, with the Sun Devils at 1-4 ATS and Utah at 1-3 ATS.
