Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels are two-touchdown underdogs to the Alabama Crimson Tide in NCAAF betting odds.

Tide Double-Digit Chalk Again At Home vs Kiffin, Rebels

Alabama (4-0 SU, 2-2 ATS) as a 14.5-point favorite over Ole Miss (3-0 SU, 2-0-1 ATS) to start off the week seems about the norm. However, under further consideration, the line could be a little low. Alabama has won its last 18 games in a row and is 7-2 ATS in its last nine SEC games.

Sportsbook Odds Analysis

Another week, another big line for Alabama. This one feels a little light given how dominant the Tide have been. They currently hold the nation’s longest winning streak at 18 games and are playing at home. In fact, likely the only thing keeping the spread within three scores is the scoring prowess of Kiffin’s Rebels, who lead the nation in scoring at 52.7 points per game.

Ole Miss News & Notes

Through a quarter of the season, the Rebels have shown an incredibly powerful attack. After beating Louisville in Week 1, the Rebels followed up by trouncing Austin Peay and Tulane, scoring 54 and 61 points respectively.

Even more impressive is their 2-0-1 record against the spread. Taking a deeper dive, they have not only covered in two of three games, but they have done so by a wide margin in both cases. Against Louisville, the Rebels covered a 9-point spread in winning by 19 points. Against Tulane, they were even more dominant, covering a 14-point spread with a 40-point victory.

Coming off a bye week should definitely help Ole Miss, getting an extra week to prepare for Alabama while also getting an extra week of rest.

Alabama News & Notes

After a hard-fought win in Gainesville against Florida, Alabama was able to lighten the workload with a win over Southern Mississippi on Saturday. That came in the usual dominating fashion, winning 63-14 in a game that wasn’t even that close.

The victory was the Tide’s 100th in a row over an unranked non-conference opponent, a record in NCAA history by a wide margin.

After the game, coach Nick Saban praised his players for their overall effort: “We have been harping on maintaining intensity for 60 minutes in a game. I thought we played with good intensity throughout the game.”

This week is a new challenge, though. Alabama faces the top offense in the country and Saban’s former offensive play-caller in Lane Kiffin. Kiffin has the Rebels playing as well as they have in years.

Staff Betting Pick: OVER 77

Normally, a total this high makes for a surefire UNDER pick. However, these two teams are destined for another high-scoring meeting. Both teams score, and score a lot. Alabama has notched 30 or more points in 30 straight games, while Ole Miss leads the nation at 52.7 points per game. In a game with a lot of possessions, take the OVER with confidence up to 80 points.
