    Sportsbook Odds Analysis

    The Trojans opened as a 3-point favorite in the newly scheduled Pac-12 championship game and have since been bet down slightly to USC -3.5. The total has remained steady since Sportsbook at 62 points. Oregon is 3-1 SU and ATS in its last four games against USC.

    Since Sportsbook the season with a 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS record, the Ducks have dropped back-to-back games to the Oregon State Beavers as 13-point favorites and to the Cal Golden Bears as 9-point favorites.

    Oregon’s previously scheduled game against Washington on December 12 was canceled, leaving the Ducks without a chance to play their way into the Pac-12 championship game, but in the end they made it anyway.

    Now the Ducks will try to salvage what has become a disappointing season. Oregon reinvented itself as a more physical team in 2019 and had one of the nation’s best defenses, allowing only 329.6 total yards and 15.7 points per game across their 12-2 SU and 8-6 ATS campaign. The Ducks defense regressed in 2020 to allow 419.8 total yards and 28 points per game.

    USC News & Notes

    USC pulled off an exciting comeback last Saturday over the UCLA Bruins, not only winning the game but covering the spread as well. The Trojans trailed 21-10 at the half and 35-23 heading into the fourth quarter, but scored three fourth-quarter touchdowns to win the game as 3.5-point road favorites. Kedon Slovis finished the day with 344 passing yards and five passing touchdowns.

    In just five games this season, Slovis has racked up 1,601 passing yards with 15 touchdowns and only four interceptions while completing 70.3 percent of his throws. The Trojans could have perhaps played their way into playoff contention over a full season, but they’ll have to settle for this shot at a Pac-12 championship on Friday night. USC is 5-0 SU and 3-2 ATS going into the game.
