Aztecs Look to End Slide in Mountain West Championship Clash in Wyoming

Rashaad Penn

The San Diego State Aztecs hope to end to a two-game straight-up and against the spread losing streak on Saturday when they defend their conference title in this year's Mountain West championship against the Wyoming Cowboys at War Memorial Stadium. The Cowboys are undefeated in seven home games, covering in each.

Shark Bites
  • The total has gone OVER in five of Wyoming's last six games against San Diego State.
  • San Diego State is 10-4 SU in its last 14 games after a loss.
  • Wyoming is 7-2 SU and ATS in its last nine games against its conference.

The West Division champion Aztecs saw a six-game SU win streak end two weeks ago with a heartbreaking 34-33 loss at Wyoming as 10-point favorites. San Diego State followed up with a stunning 63-31 loss to Colorado State as 11.5-point chalk, in its worst home defeat since 2009.

The Mountain Division champion Cowboys surrendered 35 first-half points in last week's lopsided 56-35 loss to New Mexico as 3-point road chalk, and are now winless SU and ATS in two of their past three. However, Wyoming is perfect in six home games this season, and has surrendered more than 28 just once in its past five.

Wyoming has produced mixed results against the Aztecs, going 6-5 SU, 5-5-1 ATS, in their past 11, but has failed to record consecutive wins over San Diego State since 2009.
