Saturday Setup: NCAAF Week 10

As the calendar turns into the month of November, bettors must be sure to factor weather into their weekly handicapping. Rain and snow force teams to change game plans, and should also force bettors to change betting strategies.

Here are a few games that will be affected by weather this week as well as a few other interesting notes to consider.

TCU and Wyoming set for matchup in snow

The forecast for Saturday’s game calls for snow in Wyoming. TCU is 5-1 SU and 5-0-1 ATS in their last six games against the Cowboys, so the snow may not affect their ability to cover as a 19-point road favorite at BetOnline. But another play worth considering is the UNDER 58; not only would snowy conditions help that along, but five of the last six games between these two teams have stayed under 58 points.

Stanford must deal with sandwich game and rain

Corvallis can be a tough place to play this time of year, and with rains and winds of up to 15mph expected, this week doesn’t sound like an exception. The Cardinal are a 21.5-point favorite at Oregon State at TopBet. Considering the rain and that Stanford is coming off of the wild game against USC last week and have the huge game against Oregon next week, this could be the spot that they pick up their first ATS loss of the season.

Florida has dominated Vanderbilt

Last season, the Florida Gators extended their winning streak over Vanderbilt to 20 games. The Gators have lost four straight both SU and ATS, but a home game against Vanderbilt could be just what the doctor ordered. Florida is 3-1 ATS in their last four games against the Commodores, winning each game by at least 24. Florida is a 13.5-point favorite at 5Dimes.

Oregon will start Darron Thomas over Bryan Bennett

In last week’s win over Washington State, Oregon benched Darron Thomas at the half to go with Bryan Bennett, who seemed to run the offense more effectively. But Coach Chip Kelly has reported that he is sticking with Thomas as his starter against Washington this week. Oregon is a 16.5-point favorite at Washington at Bovada.
