Chargers vs Cowboys Picks - Preseason Week 3

The Chargers have looked putried this preseason, so its no surprise to see them as underdogs heading into Week 3. Los Angeles has averaged just 220 yards of total offense through two games, and have struggled mightily moving the football. Justin Herbert can't come back soon enough. There's no chance he'll be facing a quarterback competition any time soon, as Easton Stick and Luis Perez look like career backups.

On the Cowboys side we know Cooper Rush can play a little quarterback, and Trey Lance has at least gotten to stretch his legs a few times. Dallas at least put up 294 yards of offense in a 27-12 win over the Raiders last week, with Lance tossing for 151 yards and a touchdown.

Lance projects to play most of the game once again on Saturday. Other than rookie runner Kimani Vidal, I have little faith in the Chargers offense. Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman seem to be saving their aces for the regular season. With that in mind, I'll back the Cowboys in this preseason Week 3 matchup. See if you can find Dallas at -3 before kickoff, but I'll ride with the hook at -3.5 regardless.

Chargers vs Cowboys Preseason Week 3 Pick: Cowboys -3.5 (-115)
