Sportsbook Odds: Buffalo -3.5 | O/U 48.5 (Line History)

Sportsbook Odds Analysis

With Buffalo earning an impressive road win over the New York Giants and Cincinnati getting blown away by San Francisco, this line has moved all the way up to Buffalo -6 at Sportsbook. The total has also dropped significantly from 48.5 down to 44.

Cincinnati News & Notes

One week after looking extremely competitive in a 21-20 road loss to the Seattle Seahawks, the Bengals looked hopeless last Sunday in a 41-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Andy Dalton is off to a hot start in 2019 with 729 passing yards through Cincinnati’s first two games, but that hasn’t prevented the team from falling to 0-2 SU.

Dating back to last season, Cincinnati is now 1-9 SU over its last 10 games. On the bright side for the team’s backers, though, the Bengals are 5-1 ATS over their last six with Sunday’s loss snapping their recent five-game ATS winning streak. The Bengals earned five straight playoff berths and averaged 10.4 wins per season from 2011 through 2015, but since 2016 the Bengals are just 19-30-1 SU.

Buffalo News & Notes

The Buffalo Bills are easily the biggest surprise team among the nine teams to start the 2019 season off 2-0 SU and ATS. But it remains to be seen whether this start is a sign of things to come for the Bills this year, or just the benefit of Sportsbook the season with games against the hapless New York Jets and New York Giants.

Buffalo finished the 2018 season with the second-best total defense in the NFL, allowing only 294.1 total yards per game. The Bills have picked up where they left off in 2019, currently ranking sixth in yards against per game with 296.5 and fifth in points against per game with 15. In their last eight games against the Bengals, the Bills are 6-2 ATS.

Betting Pick: Bengals +6

This line seems to be a bit of an overreaction to the Bengals’ ugly loss to what looks to be a pretty strong San Francisco team. The Bills should win outright, but Cincinnati’s offense can keep it close.
