Expect A Different Jacksonville Jaguars In This Game

They didn't exactly line up with their big guns in the Hall of Fame game, but it would still have hurt the Jaguars that the game ended up with them searching for positives. One of them, of course, was new recruit and first-round pick Travon Walker making his first sack in the big league. On the whole, though, learning that they gave up 159 yards on the ground through the game wouldn't have been a thrilling endeavor. His combination with Josh Allen will be fun to watch but action will be limited in the preseason.

Expect some of these issues to be top priority as they host the Browns this weekend, as they look to overturn their 1-8 ATS over their last nine games. They currently have no major injury concerns, and that is a good position to be in.

Cleveland Browns Have Plenty To Sort Ahead Of Season

It's no secret that any of the Browns' pre-season plans will revolve around the availability of quarterback Deshaun Watson. At the time of writing, there's been little to gauge the progression of this saga and whether the NFL will be appealing the six-match ban; should that be the case, it is understood that his absence may well extend beyond just the six matches.

While all of that unfolds, the Browns have had another bombshell to deal with in the form of running back Kareem Hunt who has all but issued an ultimatum - new contract or trade. The latter's been denied, but has no doubt added some friction to preseason training. The chance to get out on the field on Friday can't come fast enough. Jacoby Brissett, however, won't be fit until Sunday.

Jaguars vs Browns Pick & Insights

Jaguars: Keys To Cover

As we mentioned ahead of their previous game, the Jaguars built their draft pick strategy around defense and will continue to try and focus on that.

Once again, we expect a low-scoring game but with the Jaguars likely to involve some of their heavy-hitters on Friday night, a better offensive performance could be in the works; if all that goes right, the home team could be the way to go in the Jaguars vs Browns prediction.

Browns: Keys To Cover

It was a disappointing season with no playoffs for the Browns last year, and the flip side to that is that they've had to be proactive in the preseason, and we might see the early payoffs this Friday.

Amari Cooper and Chase Winovich, who came in via trades, could add a new dimension to their charge against the Jaguars against whom they are 5-2 SU in their last seven games on the road.
