With these Commanders vs Dolphins odds and picks for the preseason Week 2 matchup, I'm backing Jayden Daniels and Washington.
After Daniels balled out briefly in Washington's first preseason contest, I think he and the rest of the Commanders' quarterback room can bring a victory over Miami.
Here's my pick for the Commanders vs Dolphins preseason Week 2 matchup:
Market | Commanders Odds | Dolphins Odds |
---|---|---|
Moneyline | -105 | -115 |
Point Spread | +1.5 | -1.5 |
Point Total | OVER 37.5 | UNDER 37.5 |

Commanders ML (-105)
The Commanders may have lost last week to the Jets in the preseason, but they're still 3-1 in their last four preseason contests (dating back to last year). The Dolphins are 2-2 in that stretch.
The big differentiator for me in this one is the quarterback play. Miami's QBs looked lost in the first preseason week, with Skylar Thompson and Mike White combining to go 12/33 with just over 100 yards.
The Commanders, on the other hand, had Daniels go 2/3 for 45 yards, Marcus Mariota complete his only attempted pass, and two other depth QBs combined for 15/28 and 170 yards. That passing depth allowed the Commanders to move the ball all contest and should flash against in Week 2.
