After a forgettable Sportsbook week for Dallas, things look a little brighter in Big D. Cooper Rush threw for 235 yards and a touchdown Sunday as the Cowboys stunned the Cincinnati Bengals 20-17 thanks to a game-winning field goal in the final seconds off the foot of Brett Maher. Rush is now 2-0 as a starter for the Cowboys. 

Monday’s contest will be the first road game of the season for Mike McCarthy’s team and the first of two consecutive divisional matchups. Dallas is 7-1 SU in its last eight games on the road and the Cowboys are a perfect 6-0 SU and ATS in their last six games against teams in the NFC East.  

Dallas won both meetings with the Giants last season by a combined score of 65-26. 

Giants Find Themselves In Unfamiliar Territory 

Brian Daboll’s head coaching career is off to a flying start. He is trying to lead the Giants to their first 3-0 start since 2009, with New York tied for the division lead with the Philadelphia Eagles and one of just six teams to jump out to a 2-0 record this season. But it hasn’t come easily. The Giants scored late in the fourth quarter in both their games, winning them by a combined four points. 

Quarterback Daniel Jones certainly hasn’t been spectacular, but he has done enough to secure a pair of victories, including throwing for 176 yards and a touchdown against Carolina. Meanwhile, Saquon Barkley is showing everyone that 2021 was an anomaly. After rushing for just under 600 yards last season, he currently leads all backs with 236 rushing yards this year.

Cowboys: Keys To Win

Pound the run game. Rush is a serviceable replacement while Dak Prescott recovers from his thumb injury, but the team will need to rely on Ezekiel Elliott, who is averaging under 13 carries and just over 50 yards per game. Contain Micah Parsons. The Cowboys linebacker always makes life difficult for opposing quarterbacks and already has four sacks through two games.
