Just when the whole Deflategate controversy was finally starting to quiet down, the Patriots will invade Indianapolis for Sunday Night Football and the controversy will likely be a central topic leading up to kickoff.

With Deflategate once again fresh in football fans’ minds, Bovada has created an OVER/UNDER prop for the amount of times Deflate, Deflated, Deflating, or Deflategate will be said during the live broadcast of the game (from kickoff until the final whistle, excluding halftime). OVER 2.5 is set at -250 while UNDER 2.5 is set at +170.

The Patriots enter the game with vengeance on their minds as the Deflategate controversy started in last years’ AFC title game vs the Colts when they were accused of tampering with footballs to gain a competitive edge. The Patriots demolished the Colts 45-7 but reports emerged several days later indicating that 11 of the 12 balls used in the first half of the game were underinflated. The Colts noticed something was different about the balls following a second quarter interception, thus starting the controversy that lasted the entire offseason.
