Wilson, Broncos Look to Gather Some Momentum on the Road in Baltimore

To say the 2022 season has been disappointing for Denver is a massive understatement. Since acquiring Russell Wilson, the former Super Bowl-winning quarterback, the Broncos offense has been completely stagnant. The same rang true in Week 12 when Wilson and some teammates argued in the midst of a horrible defeat at Carolina.

Wilson threw the ball 35 times and completed 19 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown as the Broncos ultimately fell to the Panthers 23-10 for their third consecutive setback.

However, there was some good news for the Broncos as their new man in the backfield proved productive against Carolina. With Melvin Gordon gone, the addition of Latavius Murray appears to have been a wise one. Murray rushed the ball 13 times for 92 yards, averaging just over seven yards per carry.

If they’re able to combine an effective rushing attack with a defense that ranks second in scoring, third in passing yards and third in yards per play, the Broncos should be able to keep this contest tight deep into the fourth quarter.

Ravens Enter Bounce-Back Spot at Home Against Reeling Broncos

The Ravens now share the top spot in the AFC North with the Cincinnati Bengals following another fourth-quarter collapse, this time on the road at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12. With their 28-27 loss to the Jags, the Ravens have now blown double-digit leads in the fourth quarter four times this season.

Lamar Jackson looked a bit more comfortable at the helm, completing 16 of 32 passes for 254 yards and a touchdown. The former Heisman Sportsbook also carried the ball 14 times for 89 yards, but the Ravens scored less than 30 points for the eighth straight week.

Baltimore’s winning formula this season has been controlling the ground game. The Ravens rank second in rushing yards on offense and second in rush yards allowed on defense, often giving the team a substantial edge in time of possession. Expect the Ravens to try to suffocate Denver’s running game and force Russell Wilson to beat them in this Week 13 matchup.

Broncos: Keys to Win

Russell Wilson will eventually have to play well, and this may need to be the game. Facing a stout rush defense, Wilson will need to channel his greatness to get the job done in what is expected to be a low-scoring, highly contested game. Latavius Murray will provide support but look for deep shots down the field to Jerry Jeudy in his return to action.

Ravens: Keys To Victory

Stop the run and the Ravens are likely to win this game and cover. The Broncos are a stagnant offense and Lamar Jackson and his side are seemingly getting stronger by the week. Jackson needs to look in the direction of tight end Mark Andrews more often as his weapons are limited in the aerial attack.
