  • The Denver Broncos (3-7) will play their second consecutive road game on Sunday when they visit the Buffalo Bills (7-3) as solid underdogs yet again. The Broncos are dogs for the eighth time in 10 games as they play a Bills team looking to win two straight at home.

    Sportsbook Odds Analysis

    The line has started to move down to -4.5 and -5 at Sportsbook in favor of the Bills, who have not won two straight games since Week 7. Interestingly enough, the total has jumped up to 37 as the Broncos played much better offensively against the Vikings last week than expected.

    Denver News & Notes

    There are some bright spots despite Denver losing at Minnesota last week, with the team managing to build a big lead vs a tough opponent. The Broncos saw quarterback Brandon Allen play with poise and continue to find chemistry with rising star wide receiver Courtland Sutton, who hauled in five more catches for 113 yards and also completed a 38-yard pass.

    Surprisingly, Denver’s offense was not the issue, as the defense melted down even with five sacks of Kirk Cousins for 35 yards and two fumble recoveries. The Broncos must perform better on the defensive side of the ball and should be able to play well enough against the Bills and quarterback Josh Allen to stay competitive again and keep it close.  

    Buffalo News & Notes

    Buffalo’s season will come down to how the team plays in the final six games of the regular season, as a 7-3 record could easily move closer to the .500 mark with three of the next four away from home. This is a must-win situation for the Bills, who have high hopes of making the playoffs for the second time in three years and are in an excellent position to accomplish that feat.

    Allen was great for Buffalo at Miami with three touchdown passes, one more on the ground and no turnovers, which might be the most important stat for him. Defensively, the Bills held the Dolphins to 23 yards rushing but two touchdowns on 13 total carries. Denver has a much better running game, so that will be one of the keys to this matchup.

    Betting Pick: Broncos +5

    It is odd to see bettors make the Broncos smaller underdogs off their late-game collapse while the Bills dominated the Dolphins. But the sharps are taking each team’s opponents last week very seriously and believe Denver can hang in there at Buffalo, so ride with them here.
