After earning the No. 2 seed in the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs had the luxury of watching last week’s Wild Card Round from home as they waited to see who would be visiting Arrowhead Stadium in the Divisional Round. It was the Houston Texans that edged the Buffalo Bills 22-19 to earn the right to play the Chiefs. Although Kansas City had the bye week to help heal the wounds of a long regular season, Houston may have the mental edge going into this game after scoring a 31-24 triumph at Arrowhead in Week 6. Despite the mid-season victory, the Texans are 9.5-point underdogs with the total coming in at 51 points.
But I’m not here to break down this matchup, Ryan Fowler has already covered the full game preview. If you are looking for more options outside of the conventional sides and totals you’re in the right place. Online sportsbook Sportsbook has a long list of props for this contest which I have listed below, as well as, a couple plays that I like.

Texans vs Chiefs Prop Picks
The first prop that I like is Carlos Hyde OVER 64.5 rushing yards (-115). Hyde averaged 66 rushing yards per game this season, and he collected 116 yards with a touchdown in that Week 6 Houston win at Kansas City. Furthermore, the Chiefs allowed the fourth-most rushing yards per attempt in the NFL at 4.9 and surrendered the seventh-most rushing yards against at 128.2 per game so asking Hyde to get half of that seems like an achievable prop.
The second prop I like is a Gilles Gallant special and that is a touchdown scorer. With the total on the high side of 51 points, oddsmakers anticipate points to put up on the board which means better chances for a TD scorer to cash in for us. I’m looking at Houston tight end Darren Fells at +225. Going back to that Week 6 game, Fells led the Texans with 69 yards with six catches on seven targets but didn’t find the end zone. In fact, the TE hasn’t snagged a major since Week 13 against New England but he did get seven in the regular season and with Will Fuller and DeAndre Hopkins posing real threats, there could be space for Fells.
