San Francisco’s injury woes continued in the win as starting running back Elijah Mitchell injured his shoulder and backup running backs JaMycal Hasty (high-ankle sprain) and Trey Sermon (concussion) were knocked out of the game as well.
Mitchell and Sermon are questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Packers while Hasty has been ruled out. The 49ers lost Raheem Mostert to a season-ending knee injury in Week 1. For a team that relies heavily on its running game to set the tempo on offense, this injury list is quite worrisome.

What a difference a week can make. One week after an abysmal performance in Green Bay’s 38-3 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Aaron Rodgers looked like his old MVP self on Monday night, going 22-for-27 with 255 passing yards and four passing touchdowns in the Packers’ 35-17 win over the Detroit Lions. The Lions carried a 17-14 lead into the half, but the second half was all Green Bay.
Aaron Jones had a monster game in the win, swinging plenty of fantasy football matchups around the world with his 115 total yards and four touchdowns. All of this after recording only nine rushing yards and 13 receiving yards in Week 1.
Look for Jones to potentially have another big night on Sunday against a 49ers defense that is allowing 133.5 rushing yards per game thus far in 2021.
