How Many QBs will the Factory Of Sadness Produce in 2017?

We’ve come to the point where the joke was funny, then painful, then annoying and now it’s just a fact of life. Cleveland is where quarterbacks go to die. Since the team’s 1999 re-debut, the Browns have started 26 different quarterbacks.

Since 1999, only one quarterback in the team’s history has started every game in a season and that was Tim Couch in 2001. Since then, the Browns have started three or more quarterbacks in a season on seven occasions, which includes each of the past three years.

With the factory of sadness churning out terrible quarterbacks quicker than Apple produces new iPhones, Sportsbook has posted the OVER/UNDER total for Browns starting quarterbacks next season at 2.5 (-200/+150). There’s a good chance that 24-year-old Cody Kessler is the starter come Sportsbook day, but the team also has newly acquired Brock Osweiler, second-round pick DeShone Kizer and Kevin Hogan at QB.

The Browns are basically in the same quarterback mess that saw five QBs (not including Terrelle Pryor) take snaps last season. Unless someone really shines during the preseason and locks down the spot, you should be expecting more tears in the Dawg Pound.
