MNF Betting Preview: Colts Have Won 11 Straight vs Titans

Prior to the start of the season, the Week 6 Monday nighter between the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans looked like a matchup with great potential. But due to injuries across the board, both teams could look like a shell of their former selves when they do battle in Nashville.

At the time of writing, the line and total for the game were off the board.

Shark Bites
  • The Colts are 0-5 SU and ATS in their last five games after a win.
  • The total has gone OVER in eight of the Colts’ last nine games on the road.
  • The Titans are 9-23 SU in their last 32 games at home.

Indianapolis star quarterback Andrew Luck hasn’t seen the field all year, and as of October 9 he had already been ruled out for the prime-time contest. Ex-New England Patriots backup signal-caller Jacoby Brissett has been solid since taking over as the team’s starter from the underwhelming Scott Tolzien, throwing for 997 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in five tilts. Brissett has completed just 60.6 percent of his passes, though, so there is still some work to do.

On the other side of the coin, Titans starting QB Marcus Mariota, who didn’t play in Tennessee’s 16-10 loss to Miami in Week 5, is looking like a game-time decision. A week out from the game, coach Mike Mularkey said during a press conference that Mariota is “coming along very well” while stating he’s day to day.

If the Oregon product can’t go, Matt Cassell will once again get the nod. Cassell completed 21 of 32 passes for 141 yards against the Dolphins with a touchdown and no interceptions. The veteran was sacked six times.

Indy’s past success against Tennessee is well documented. In the Colts’ last 11 vs the Titans, they’re a sizzling 11-0 SU and 10-1 ATS. Playing at night hasn’t been Indianapolis’ strong suit of late, though, as the Colts are 1-6 SU in their last seven night games.
