Jacksonville Earned First Win Of 2022 In Dominant Fashion

The Jaguars were competitive in their season-Sportsbook road game against the Washington Commanders, leading 22-14 in the fourth quarter before eventually falling short in a 28-22 loss. Jacksonville didn’t blow its lead in Week 2 as the team coasted to a 24-0 win over the Indianapolis Colts at home as 3-point underdogs. The defense held elite running back Jonathan Taylor to just 54 rushing yards on nine carries in the win.

Christian Kirk had six catches for 117 receiving yards against the Commanders and followed that performance up with six catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns against the Colts. Jacksonville signed Kirk to a four-year, $72-million deal this offseason to be the team’s new primary receiver for quarterback Trevor Lawrence, and through their first two games together the pair seems to have good chemistry on the field.

Justin Herbert Questionable After Week 2 Injury

Justin Herbert suffered a rib injury in Los Angeles’ 27-24 loss last Thursday night to the Kansas City Chiefs. Herbert labored through the injury in the closing moments of the game and finished with a stat line of 33-for-48 with 334 passing yards, three touchdown passes and one interception. The interception was returned 99 yards for a touchdown in a play that broke a 17-17 tie in the fourth quarter.

The Chargers’ star quarterback is listed as questionable to start on Sunday against the Jaguars. If Herbert is unable to play, Los Angeles will be forced to start backup quarterback Chase Daniel. Wide receiver Keenan Allen is also listed as questionable for Week 3 with the same hamstring injury that kept him out of action against Kansas City.

Jaguars: Keys To Win

The Jaguars looked great on both sides of the ball in their win over the Colts on Sunday. If Jacksonville can play to that level again this Sunday against the Chargers, covering the spread and even pulling off an upset as a Jaguars vs Chargers prediction could be within reach.

Chargers: Keys To Win

Justin Herbert has been a dominant presence for this Chargers offense since his rookie season in 2020. If Herbert is healthy enough to play on Sunday, his passing attack should put Los Angeles in position to win as a Jaguars vs Chargers pick at home.
