The Chiefs scored on each of their first seven drives of the game on Sunday in a 40-26 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Patrick Mahomes was in MVP form in a dominant first half, newcomer LeSean McCoy looked like a strong fit in this offense on limited touches, and Sammy Watkins had the best game of his career with nine catches for 198 yards and three touchdowns.
Seeing the defense struggle against a rookie quarterback after Nick Foles left the game with an injury is slight cause for concern, but with this offense it may not matter. The Chiefs are 15-2 SU and 13-4 ATS in their last 17 games against division rivals.

For a team that was supposed to be in turmoil after a tumultuous week of issues with Antonio Brown, the Oakland Raiders didn’t look bothered on Monday night. They rode a 14-0 first-half lead to a 24-16 win over the Denver Broncos as Derek Carr picked the Broncos defense apart, going 22-for-26 with 259 passing yards and a touchdown. Rookie Josh Jacobs collected 113 total yards and two touchdowns in his NFL debut.
The Raiders looked strong on both sides of the ball against Denver, but they’ll face a much more legitimate test this Sunday with the Chiefs coming to town. Oakland is 4-0 ATS in its last four games as a home underdog with three outright upsets in its last three games as one.

It’s a sky-high total, but the OVER still looks like the best bet in this one. Oakland’s defense isn’t ready to stop an offense like Kansas City’s, but the Raiders have shown enough improvement on offense to suggest that they could at least put a dent in this total while the Chiefs do the rest.
