The Los Angeles Rams (1-1 SU, 0-2 ATS) are 10-1 SU and 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 games against the Arizona Cardinals (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS). The Rams will try to continue this trend by cashing in as a Rams vs Cardinals prediction favorite in Arizona this Sunday afternoon.
Rams vs Cardinals Opening Odds
The Rams opened as 4.5-point favorites before early action on the Cardinals shifted the Rams vs Cardinals odds slightly to Los Angeles -4. The total has shifted down to 50.5 points after opening at 51.5 points. The OVER is 4-2 in the last six games between the Rams and Cardinals.
Los Angeles Has Had Some Early Issues On Defense
The Rams entered the half on Sunday with a 21-3 lead over the Atlanta Falcons and quickly extended their lead to 28-3 on the first drive of the second half. But what looked like an easy blowout victory turned out to be a nail-biter as the Rams narrowly escaped with a 31-27 victory. Los Angeles has now allowed 29 points per game through its first two games of the season.
Cooper Kupp had another big day on offense with 11 catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Kupp has now recorded at least 90 receiving yards in each of his last 15 regular-season games. The Rams are now 0-4 ATS over their last four games since going 6-2 ATS in their previous eight.
Arizona Avoided An 0-2 Hole With A Dramatic Comeback Win
After getting blown out by the Kansas City Chiefs 44-21 at home in Week 1, the Cardinals appeared to be well on their way to another blowout loss on Sunday, trailing the Las Vegas Raiders 20-0 at the half. Instead, the Cardinals scored three touchdowns in the second half, including two with successful two-point conversion attempts to force overtime, where they won the game on a fumble return for a touchdown.
Kyler Murray went 31-for-49 with 277 passing yards, one touchdown pass, one interception and one rushing touchdown in the win. Murray struggled in the first half but was sensational in the second half en route to the comeback victory. Arizona was just 1-6 SU and ATS prior to the upset win as a 5.5-point underdog in Las Vegas.
Rams: Keys To Victory
Los Angeles has turned the ball over six times through its first two games, including five Matthew Stafford interceptions. Avoiding turnovers to keep Kyler Murray off the field as much as possible could go a long way in securing a victory as a Rams vs Cardinals prediction.
Cardinals: Keys To Victory
Arizona fell into a 20-0 hole against the Raiders last week and a 37-7 hole against the Chiefs in Week 1. If Kyler Murray and the defense are both able to get off to a better start Sunday, they could get the home crowd going earlier and make the path to a win as a Rams vs Cardinals pick a lot easier.
