Justin Herbert's Chargers favored in our Chargers vs Raiders odds and picks

Chargers vs Raiders Picks & Odds: Las Vegas Going for Third Straight Victory

The Las Vegas Raiders (4-7 SU, 5-6 ATS) will be back at home for just the second time in six games on Sunday when they host the Los Angeles Chargers (6-5, 7-4) as small home underdogs at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark. The Raiders have won their last two games in overtime as road underdogs and will be looking to avoid a series sweep against the Chargers, who won the first meeting 24-19 as 3.5-point favorites in Week 1.

Chargers vs Raiders Sportsbook Odds

Early money has come in on Las Vegas following the team’s back-to-back wins, as the team has thrived as an underdog lately and not so much as a favorite, for what it is worth. The Raiders are 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS in their last seven regular-season games as dogs compared to 3-7 SU and 2-8 ATS in their past 10 as favorites.

This one could actually end up closing as a pick’em, with Los Angeles down two points to -1 despite rallying for a 25-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals last week on a successful two-point conversion attempt. The Chargers closed as 2.5-point road favorites in that one, though, and scored what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown and two-pointer with 15 seconds left.

The total on this game is also up three points to 51 with the two previous meetings at Las Vegas averaging 62 points and going OVER both times, including last year’s OT matchup.

Big Gamble Pays Off for Staley’s Team in Crucial Win at Arizona

Los Angeles head coach Brandon Staley could have easily sent last week’s game to OT had he opted to kick the PAT rather than go for two points. But he wanted to get the win in regulation time and not take the chance that his team could lose based on the result of a coin flip.

Kudos to him for leading the Chargers into Vegas with a win instead of a loss, which would have meant the home team could have tied them in the standings with a victory. Instead, Los Angeles still owns a two-game lead over Las Vegas for second place in the AFC West and remains very much alive for a wild-card playoff spot, something the team’s opponent earned in the regular-season finale between these teams a year ago. Can you say revenge spot?

Raiders Thrive in Another Tough Road Spot for First Winning Streak

Las Vegas has had the potential based on pure talent to win consecutive games all season, but it took until Week 12 for that result to finally come to fruition. Now the big question is whether the Raiders can keep winning and extend their streak to three in a row.

Some thought they were packing it in after losing three straight just prior to their winning streak. But give credit to Las Vegas head coach Josh McDaniels for rallying his players and helping them believe the season is not over. Keep in mind the Raiders were 6-7 last year before reeling off four straight wins to get into the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Chargers: Keys To Victory

Injuries have held Los Angeles back for much of the season, but this team has not made any excuses. The Chargers want to make the playoffs for the first time since 2018, and they can use last year’s OT loss at Allegiant Stadium as the ultimate motivator. As you may recall, both were in the postseason with a tie, but Las Vegas played to win and got a 47-yard field goal from kicker Daniel Carlson to send Los Angeles home with a 35-32 loss. That vision should be fresh in the Bolts’ minds and help them go for the sweep.

Raiders: Keys To Victory

Las Vegas should be a live home dog in this one (unless the game closes as a pick’em or flips in the host’s favor) and seems to play at its best when backed against the wall. That will be the case for the rest of the year, and the defense must continue to make plays to win again in this spot. Linebacker Denzel Perryman had a key interception last week while defensive end Maxx Crosby had 1.5 sacks to push his team-leading total to 10.5. If they can continue to play that well and pressure Justin Herbert, they can pull off the upset.
