The Philadelphia Eagles are 6-0 SU and ATS in their last six games against the Los Angeles Rams, most recently defeating the Rams 30-23 when they last met in December 2018. The Rams will be looking for their first win against the Eagles since 2004 when these two teams meet Sunday in Philadelphia.
Sportsbook Odds Analysis
Early bettors jumped on the opportunity to bet on the Rams as underdogs, hammering the line all the way from Los Angeles +3 to Los Angeles -1.5. Bettors also leaned toward the UNDER in this one as the line has moved from its Sportsbook spot at 47.5 points down to 46 points. The Rams went 6-2 ATS on the road in 2019.
Los Angeles News & Notes
Jared Goff had only 22 touchdown passes with 16 interceptions in a disappointing 2019 campaign that saw the Rams miss the playoffs with a 9-7 SU and 10-5-1 ATS record. Goff didn’t get off to an electrifying start last Sunday with 275 passing yards, no touchdowns and one interception, but he and the Rams did do enough to secure a 20-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
The Rams opened the 2019 season with a 3-0 SU and ATS record, before finishing 6-7 SU over their last 13 games. Los Angeles is now 12-2 SU and 10-3-1 ATS in its last 14 games in September.
Philadelphia News & Notes
Carson Wentz had his share of struggles last Sunday against Washington. Wentz started the day off going 9-for-11 with 123 passing yards and a touchdown in the first quarter, but the rest of the way he went just 15-for-31 for 147 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The Eagles dropped the game outright 27-17 as 5.5-point road favorites.
Since going 13-3 SU during the regular season and winning the Super Bowl in 2017, the Eagles have settled for a pair of 9-7 regular seasons and early postseason exits in both 2018 and 2019. Philadelphia has high hopes for a stronger season in 2020 but will need Wentz to be a lot better for those hopes to become a reality.
Betting Pick: OVER 46 points
Both of these teams are built around their young quarterbacks. In a game that should see plenty of pass attempts from both offenses, look for the final score to make its way OVER the posted total.
