The Miami Dolphins opened as 4-point road favorites for their Monday Night Football matchup with the New York Jets, and that line has increased to a touchdown as the division rivals get set to kick off at MetLife Stadium.

Miami remains in the playoff picture in the AFC at 6-5 SU and 7-4 ATS on the season, but with many other teams in contention for a Wild Card berth in the conference as well they can't afford a Monday night loss to a Jets team that sits at just 2-9 SU and 2-8-1 ATS on the season.

The Dolphins are coming off a 39-36 road loss to the Denver Broncos in which they at least managed to cover the 6.5-point spread at the sportsbooks. Miami is just 1-2 SU but 2-1 ATS in its last three games, after going 3-0 both SU and ATS in its previous three games to get its season back on track. The UNDER is 5-1 in the past six Dolphins contests.

The Jets got thumped 38-3 by the Buffalo Bills last Monday night in their neutral-site matchup at Detroit's Ford Field. New York will be turning back to Geno Smith as their starting quarterback against the Dolphins; Smith has a QB Rating of 67.4 this season with seven touchdown passes and 10 interceptions in nine games.

The Dolphins are 6-4 both SU and ATS in their last 10 games against the Jets dating back to 2009, with the teams splitting their two matchups last season 1-1 both SU and ATS in a pair of UNDER results. Totals bettors have watched the UNDER pay out in six of the last seven games between the Dolphins and the Jets.
