Monday Night Football: Week 5 Preview

The defending-champ Seattle Seahawks are big favorites over Washington at FedEx Field on Monday Night Football as they come off their bye week looking to improve on their lucrative ATS trend from the past two seasons.

Seattle is 10-3 ATS over its 13 most recent games, and heads into its matchup with Washington at 1-2 both SU and ATS on the season. The Seahawks won and covered against both Green Bay and Denver at home, and suffered their lone setback on the road in San Diego back in Week 2.

Washington, meanwhile, is 1-3 SU and 2-2 ATS on the season after getting blasted 45-14 by the rival Giants on Thursday Night Football in their last outing. Washington's lone SU and ATS win this season came against lowly Jacksonville; they also covered in a loss to the Eagles in Week 3.

That has Washington sitting as an 8-point home underdog for the Week 5 NFL betting capper on Monday night, with the total for the game at 45 points. Washington is 3-1 on the OVER/UNDER this season, while Seattle is 2-1 on the totals.
