NFL Betting – NFC Championship

The Green Bay Packers may be on the road this weekend for their NFC Championship Game matchup with the Chicago Bears, but the Pack are still the odds makers' favorite on the NFL odds menu.

After upsetting Philadelphia and Atlanta to get to the NFC title game, the Packers have risen in the minds of the oddsmakers, and on the latest NFL odds at Bovada Green Bay is a 3.5-point road favorite this weekend.

Last week Green Bay journeyed to Atlanta and destroyed the Falcons 48-21 as a 1-point underdog. Aaron Rodgers picked apart the Atlanta defense while passing for 366 yards with three touchdown passes and a TD run. [ Packers Bears Matchup Stats and Odds ]

The defense kept Atlanta from making a game of it, as the Packers out-gained Atlanta 442-194 and the D also added to the scoreboard with a 70-yard interception return for six by Tramon Williams.

The Bears were big favorites last week versus the surprising Seahawks and they delivered for the NFL betting crowd by covering the 10-point spread in a 35-24 win. Jay Cutler had four touchdowns in the win - two through the air and two on the ground - and Greg Olsen put together a few big receptions with three catches for 113 yards and a TD.

As NFC North rivals the Packers and Bears clashed twice during the regular season. In their first meeting in Week 3 the Packers were a 3-point road favorite but played a very sloppy game in a 20-17 upset loss.

Green Bay practically handed that game to the Bears with a team-record 18 penalties and a couple sloppy turnovers, including a fumble late in the fourth quarter that set up the Bears' game-winning field goal. Rodgers finished the night with 316 yards passing with a touchdown, an interception, and a TD run.

Cutler had a touchdown and an interception for Chicago, but Devin Hester delivered the decisive blow for the Bears with a punt return for a touchdown.

The Bears and Packers closed out the season in Green Bay in Week 17 in a game the Packers had to win to lock up a playoff spot. The Bears were expected to sit most of their regulars so the Packers were huge 11.5-point favorites on the NFL betting line.

Chicago started everyone, and the Packers squeaked out a 10-3 win. Rodgers had a touchdown and an interception, but the Green Bay defense was the star of that win as they sacked Cutler six times and picked off a pair of passes.

In the last four matchups between Green Bay and Chicago the Packers are 3-1 SU and 2-2 ATS. In the last 10 meetings it's even with five wins apiece both SU and ATS. At Chicago the Bears are 4-2 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six versus the Packers.

However, if you look back even further the Packers have a solid 13-4 record SU and a 12-5 ATS mark in their last 17 games at Soldier Field.
