NFL Divisional Round Betting Primer

Let’s. Get. Serious. In what’s traditionally viewed as the best weekend of NFL football of the entire season, we have four games where bettors could easily make a case for either side (well, except for TEN vs NE. More on that here). We’re building up to the Super Bowl, so it’s of the utmost importance that we dig deep so we can build those bankrolls so we can go big for the big game.

With that in mind, here’s a few facts specific to the divisional round you should be aware of before placing your bets:

  • How important is home-field advantage in the divisional round? VERY. The home team is 15-4 SU in the last 19 divisional round games.
  • Specific to the Saturday divisional round games, the home team has won nine straight and the total has gone OVER in 12 of the last 14.
  • The Eagles are the first No. 1 seed in the history of the NFL to be an underdog in the divisional round.
  • Since 1991, teams favored by double digits in the divisional round are 12-6-1 ATS.

Now that you have a few appetizers, feast on the stats and trends below for each game. The greaseball bookie is undoubtedly foaming at the mouth like a pervert at a public pool, fantasizing about taking our money. But guess what? I’m foaming at the mouth like a junkyard dog in heat and am ready to eat while watching that cockroach starve!

Let’s get after it this weekend. Give me a follow on Twitter and as always, KEEP CHASING THAT PAPER!
