The Houston Texans can kill two birds with one stone by selecting quarterback Derek Carr with the first pick of the second round.
Bettors can win two bets with one outcome, based on the NFL draft prop odds posted this morning at [custom:bodog-link].
The Texans can draft their QB of the future while keeping the talented Fresno State pivot away from their competition. And if they take him, two Day 2 props fall at the same time.
[custom:bodog-link] is offering a bet on whether Houston will draft a QB with that pick. They also offered a bet on whether Carr would be the first QB taken in the second round.
With Alabama’s AJ McCarron the only other QB rated in the Top 75, it seems a good bet that they would take Carr if they want a QB.
There were also prop bets on where talented wideout Marquise Lee will be drafted. The prop is a -200 bet that he will be the first WR off the board Friday.
And with no running backs selected in the first round, speculation was rampant about who would be the first RB off the board. Carlos Hyde of Ohio State and Bishop Sankey of Washington were top-rated runners and Auburn’s Tre Mason was still on the board.
The prop bet was an over-under of 40.5 – will the first RB be 40 or lower or 41 or higher?
