NFL Line Moves: Rams huge underdogs

Some weeks, bettors and bookmakers see eye to eye on most games. A few games have a minor adjustment here or there, and most of the board stays put. With four games seeing line movements of over three points, Week 6 is clearly not one of those weeks.

Here’s a look at four games with big line movements in Week 6.

St. Louis Rams @ Green Bay Packers (from -10.5 to -15.5 at 5Dimes)

When the 5-0 defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers take on the 0-4 seemingly hopeless St. Louis Rams, it’s no surprise everyone wants to bet on the Packers. The ATS records don’t look much better for the Rams, with St. Louis at 0-4 and Green Bay at 4-1.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins (from -3.0 to +1.5 at TopBet)

If the Eagles are going to crash and burn, it looks like bettors are willing to go down with them. After losing to Buffalo outright last week to fall to 1-4 SU and ATS, bookmakers made Philadelphia an underdog for the first time this season; but early bettors were happy to take the points.

Cleveland Browns @ Oakland Raiders (from -3.0 to -7.0 at Bovada)

While Cleveland was on their bye week, Oakland was winning a statement game at Houston; and early bettors seem to be respecting the Raiders as a legitimate AFC contender. Cleveland is 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS in their last five games against Oakland.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Pittsburgh Steelers (from -9.5 to -13.0 at BetOnline)

After getting out to an ugly 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS start, Pittsburgh finally put it all together with a 38-17 win last week over Tennessee. Jacksonville is 0-4 SU and ATS in their last four games, making them a popular choice to fade this week.

Other games that have seen some line movements of a full point or more include San Francisco @ Detroit (from -6.0 to -4.0), Carolina @ Atlanta (from -5.5 to -4.0), Indianapolis @ Cincinnati (from -6.0 to -7.0), Buffalo @ NY Giants (from -2.0 to -3.0), New Orleans @ Tampa Bay (from +3.5 to +4.5), and Miami @ NY Jets (from -6.0 to -7.0), all at BetOnline.
