NFL Lines Moves: Week 13

For the second straight week only four NFL line movements were by a full point or more, as most lines stayed steady or only moved a half point.

Here’s a look at each of those four NFL line movements of a point or more for Week 13.

Tennessee Titans @ Buffalo Bills (from +1.0 to -2.0 at TopBet)

Despite the fact that Buffalo has lost four straight and Tennessee just got a season-best 190-yard performance out of Chris Johnson, early bettors sided with the Bills and turned them from a slight home underdog to a slight favorite. Some bettors are likely counting on Buffalo’s home field advantage; the Bills are 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS at home, and each of their last three games were on the road.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Chicago Bears (from -9.0 to -7.0 at BetOnline)

Early bettors decided to hop on the large amount of points with Kansas City, likely in equal parts due to their respectable defensive effort against Pittsburgh in a 13-9 loss and Caleb Hanie’s rough three-interception day for Chicago against Oakland. Todd Haley still hasn’t announced who his starter will be between veteran Kyle Orton (who Kansas City acquired on waivers last week) and Tyler Palko.

Dallas Cowboys @ Arizona Cardinals (from +5.5 to +4.5 at 5Dimes)

While the Cowboys have won four straight, they are only 1-3 ATS over that stretch and 1-4 ATS in their last five games. Some bettors decided to take the points on the home underdog Cardinals, who are 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last four games. Dallas is 2-3 SU and 2-2-1 ATS in five games on the road this season.

Green Bay Packers @ New York Giants (from +6.0 to +7.0 at Bovada)

The Green Bay Packers will try to inch one step closer to a perfect season this week in New York, and bettors seem to like their chances to win and cover. The Giants have lost three straight games both SU and ATS, and have struggled to run the ball with Ahmad Bradshaw out (he’s doubtful for Sunday’s game). Green Bay is 11-0 SU and 8-3 ATS this season with a 6-0 SU and 4-2 ATS record on the road.

Lines vary a bit across different books on Sunday’s Indianapolis @ New England game, but all project a very large Patriots victory. New England is a 20-point favorite at BetOnline and a 21-point favorite at Bovada.
