NFL Week 12 Betting Props: Will Kickers Suck Again?

It’s holiday season and sportsbooks have showered us with gifts in the form of NFL betting props. Check out the ones I’ve listed below and make sure to wet your beak at whatever book you play.

Does the Whole League have the yips?

The intensity of games is starting to ramp up and the pressure is starting to mount – especially for kickers. Extra points have been a problem for placekickers ever since the NFL backed up the XP attempt but the issue came to a head – or foot – last week when kickers missed a record-breaking 12 extra points.

Appropriately enough, Bovada has put up a line for how many missed XPs there will be this week and they’ve set the total at 6.5. That line may seem low based on last week’s lofty total but those 12 missed PATs were an astronomical anomaly. The previous record stood for 46 years and the new mark will likely not be broken for some time.

Kickers will be in the spotlight this week and unless they want to go the way of Blair Walsh, they better make some damn PATs. This stays UNDER, possibly by a lot.

How many extra Points will be missed in Week 12

Odds as of November 24 at Bovada

  • Over 6.5 EVEN
  • Under 6.5 -140

Landon Collins for MVp

The New York “Football” Giants sit at 7-3 and a lot of that success can be attributed to the defense the Giants management invested a fortune in last offseason. Landon Collins has been one of the key contributors on D as he’s already collected five interceptions, two sacks and 80 tackles and batted down 10 passes.

New York’s opponents this week, the Cleveland “Not Quite Football” Browns, have averaged just over an interception thrown per game and Collins has picked off at least one pass in five straight weeks. It’s no guarantee that the Giants safety will hawk a ball this Sunday but it is likely – I’d risk it on the value here.

Will Landon Collins record an interception in week 12?

Odds as of November 24 at Bovada
