NFL Week 14 Betting Trends Analysis

The Indianapolis Colts' NFL-record 16-game division win streak in the AFC South is in serious jeopardy this week. The Colts have gone 13-2-1 against the spread (ATS) in those games, but may be down to third-string quarterback Charlie Whitehurst at revenge-minded Jacksonville on Sunday.

Andrew Luck still is at least a week away from playing and 40-year-old Matt Hasselbeck is beat up dealing with neck and shoulder soreness. Hasselbeck helped the Colts get past the Jaguars, 16-13, in overtime in Week 4. Expect around a pick spread if Hasselbeck is given the green light when bookmakers release a number on the game.

Steelers are riding an ATS Run at Cincinnati

Some are surprised Cincinnati is just a three-point home favorite against Pittsburgh. The Bengals are 10-1-1 ATS, the best spread mark in the NFL. However, the Steelers have covered in nine of their last 11 trips to Cincinnati and are 8-0 straight-up and ATS during their past eight December games.

The Browns are hoping to end a 13-game losing streak in December hosting San Francisco. Judging by early activity in the marketplace that could happen as Cleveland has been bet up to two point favorites at some shops. Johnny Manziel can't be worse than Austin Davis, or can he?

Washington is out to end a nine-game road losing streak. The Redskins are 2-7 ATS in those nine road defeats. They are getting 3.5 points at Chicago.

Packers 10-2 ATS as December Home Favorite

Green Bay is a seven-point home favorite versus Dallas. The Packers have won 13 of their last 15 games at Lambeau Field. They also are 10-2 ATS as a home favorite in December. Dallas, though, is 11-4 ATS in its last 15 road matchups.

Atlanta, San Diego and Miami are all on bad point spread runs. The Falcons have failed to cover in their last eight games. The Chargers are 0-9 ATS in division and the Dolphins are 1-7 ATS during their last eight home contests.

The Falcons are plus 7.5 at Carolina. San Diego is the biggest 'dog on the board getting 10 at Kansas City. Miami is plus 1.5 hosting the New York Giants on Monday night.
