NFL Week 14 Odds Shark Computer Picks - 2016 season
You have to look pretty far back on the Cowboys’ schedule to find their last loss but if you do, you’ll notice it came against the same Giants team they are set to face in Week 14’s Sunday nighter. Dallas has been perfect since then and the OddsShark Super Computer is predicting that the first team to clinch a playoff spot this year runs its winning streak to 12 against New York.
Their last game was decided by just one point and that’s not out of the ordinary for these two teams. All of their last four matchups have been settled by seven or fewer points and three of them had a margin of three or fewer points.
The computer is forecasting a 25.6- 20.2 win and cover for the Cowboys and the trends agree. Dallas is 7-0 SU and 5-2 ATS in its last seven games against the NFC but will have to overcome a Giants team that had won six games in a row until falling to the Steelers in Week 13.
The Machines are taking Over
Have you heard the saying that to err is human but to really screw up, you need a computer? That has gone straight to our robot’s head and it’s made it its personal goal to prove that adage false.
It went 11-4 at picking straight-up winners in Week 14 and went an impressive 9-6 against the spread. Although it went through a horrific start ATS, the computer has learned and adapted and is just breaking into full stride.
The advantage of using numbers and machinery to make football picks instead of our dumb human brains is that there is no bias and no false information being used in the decision-making process. Is the computer perfect? Of course not. Does it pick better than me? Absolutely.
Battle for the AFC South
An enormous game in the hilarious AFC South takes place on Sunday when the Indianapolis Colts take on the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Colts are coming off one of the best performances of the season in a game in which they bullied the New York Jets and took Bryce Petty’s lunch money.
The Texans, on the other hand, have lost three straight games and it’s becoming obvious that Brock Osweiler is not a long-term solution at the game’s most important position. The computer agrees and is picking the Colts to win, cover and remain in first place in the AFC South with a 30.4-14.1 drubbing of the Texans.
Indy dropped the first meeting to Houston but was incredibly unlucky to not come away with a win after taking a 14-point lead into the last three minutes of the game. The president of the Andrew Luck Book Club will lead his team to victory in this one – book it.
