NFL Week 15 Line Moves

Only four games this week saw line movements of at least one full point as most NFL lines stayed put or only moved by a half point. Only one game had a line movement of over 1.5 points, and it should come as no surprise that it involves one of the NFL’s most polarizing figures this season in Denver quarterback Tim Tebow.

Here’s a look at the biggest NFL line movements of Week 15.

New England @ Denver (from +4.5 to +7.5 at 5Dimes)

After completing yet another improbable comeback last week over Chicago, Denver improved to 7-1 SU and 6-1-1 ATS since Tim Tebow has taken over at quarterback; but bettors still aren’t convinced as they pounded New England throughout the week. Denver held opponents to 15 points or less in five of those seven wins, but New England has scored at least 31 points in five straight games (all wins); something has to give.

Detroit @ Oakland (from PK to +1.5 at Bovada)

Oakland was blown out for the second straight week last week, losing 46-16 to Green Bay just one week after losing 34-14 to Miami. As a result, early bettors sided with Detroit and made them a small favorite. Detroit hasn’t been at its best either; since starting the season off 5-0 SU and 4-0-1 ATS, the Lions are just 3-5 SU and 2-6 ATS over their last eight games.

Baltimore @ San Diego (from +1.0 to +2.5 at TopBet)

Baltimore has won four straight games (2-1-1 ATS) without Ray Lewis, and with Lewis’ return the Ravens get even stronger; prompting bettors to side with them as a small road favorite this week at San Diego. San Diego has looked very sharp in two straight blowout wins after going 0-6 SU and ATS in their previous six games. Baltimore is 3-3 SU and ATS on the road this season.

Dallas @ Tampa Bay (from +6.0 to +7.0 at BetOnline)

Tampa Bay has lost seven straight games (1-6 ATS), and Dallas needs a win after losing last week to New York, prompting bettors to side with the Cowboys in this Saturday night game. Dallas has lost two straight outright and is just 1-6 ATS over its last seven games despite a 4-3 SU record.

With multiple key players currently questionable with injuries, no lines were available for Miami at Buffalo or Pittsburgh at San Francisco as of Thursday night. Lines should be released when injury statuses become more clear.
